Domain Validated (DV)
These domain validation only certificates are fast and simple to install. It only requires proof that you own the domain and wish to secure it with a DV certificate. It provides the industry standard encryption and trust indicators like HTTPS and the padlock icon.
Organization Validated (OV)
OV certificates validate that a domain belongs to a registered business before being issued which can take up to 3 working days. The additional benefit is the dynamic site seal which displays the validated company information to a visitor, along with HTTPS and the padlock icon. These are perfect for registered businesses who can’t budget for EV certification. It also offers 128- to 256-bit encryption.
Extended Validation (EV)
EV Certificates are an investment because of their ROI potential. What makes this different from DV & OV is the green address bar instantly making them legitimate websites that can be trusted with personal information. The validation process takes more time up to 5 business days.
Multi-Domain (MD)
For businesses that own multiple domains (up to 250), this SSL certificate will cover all of them. Certificates are available in EV, OV, and DV options. Jelly Triangle will find a Multi-Domain certificate that suits your needs.
Wildcard (WC)
Wildcard SSL certificates cover one domain name and an unlimited amount of sub-domains. These provide affordable, and convenient solutions and are available in both DV and OV types. Currently there is no EV Wildcard SSL certificate available. Wildcard SSL certificates offer full 128- to 256-bit encryption on all of the domains and subdomains that they cover.
